  • We have just walked back into our house having hired the services of Whitegate to sand our floors. The house is unrecognisable, where before it was ugly and dirty, now it is bright, clean, and homely. We had a great experience with Ben from the beginning. The quote was clear and fair, he arrived promptly to take the measurements and was very transparent about pricing. At the time, much of the floor was buried beneath layers of ugly carpets, and so there was the possibility that the quote might change once we lifted it, but as it turned out, despite the many imperfections that were uncovered, he didn’t raise the quote and just fixed several things as a kindness. They arrived and did a wonderful job, he kept me updated throughout with photos, and explaining everything that he was doing and what to expect. When it was nearly finished he suggested to me to rearrange and finish the job later once we had finished a few other things that might make a mess. He didn’t want our floors to be ugly shortly after he had finished making them beautiful and so was willing to arrange his schedule to make it so. Of course, as he suggested we did make a bit of a mess, and so when he finally cleaned and varnished it and the whole thing came together, we were delighted and the house is finally feeling like home. Would recommend Whitegate to anyone.
